Valley View Local School District is a school district in Montgomery County, Ohio, serving German Township which contains Germantown, Ohio. In addition, it serves the majority of Jackson Township, including Farmersville, Ohio.
The district was formed in 1968, as the result of the consolidation of Germantown High School and Farmersville High School. The resulting district adopted the Spartan name, of which the first class graduated in 1969.

Since August 2002, the superintendent has been Sherry V. Parr. Prior to her position Valley View, she was employed in Reading, Ohio as the superintendent of Reading Community Schools.[3]
The district contains four schools: Farmersville Elementary School, Germantown Elementary School, Valley View Middle School, and Valley View High School. The middle school, containing grades six through eight, is located in Germantown, adjacent to Germantown Elementary. The high school is located between Germantown and Farmersville.
